Tips To Prevent Recurrence of Urine Infections

Urine infection is a contagious disease that reoccurs within 18 months of the occurrence of last UTI. Most of the women have shown the symptoms of recurrence of the disease. Some women are highly sensitive and suffer from the infection three to four times in a year. Hence, if you are one of them, then you can reduce the probability of urinary tract infection by adapting one of the following treatments.

1. You can take mild doses of an antibiotic for six months. This prevents the recurrence of urine infection. Ideally, you should consume the medicine before going for sleep because it will remain in the bladder for a long time and lead to flushing of the infectious bacteria during the next urinary secretion.

2. You can also consume a single dose of antibiotic after the sexual intercourse. Hence, the infection will be killed as soon as possible.

3. You can also start the dosage of antibiotic as soon as you detect the presence of the symptoms of urine secretion. Hence, you can keep the disease at a bay by adapting these methods. However, if the urinary tract infection reoccurs twice or thrice in two years, then you can take some precaution during your day to day activities. These basic precautions can prevent the infliction of the contagious disease.

4. You should make sure that you drink plenty of water throughout the day. This activity will flush bacteria and germs from the body.

5. Never hold the urine in the urinary bladder. You should make sure that you secrete the urine as soon as you feel the urge to do so.

6. You should wipe yourself from front to back while excreting wastes from the body during bowel movements.

7. Always make sure that you clean your private parts after a sexual intercourse.

Thus, the above advises will help in preventing recurrence of urine infection in women.
